So, what makes you different from the other conferences?

  • First of all, there are lots of fantastic conferences happening in 2018 and we appreciate you considering ours.
  • SMBSS is for self-published or hybrid authors who are interested in taking things to the next level. If you're making $100 a month, we aim to get you to $1,000. If you're making $1,000 a month, we aim to get you to $5,000. If you're making more, we know that sometimes a few small bits of information can make a major difference to increase your revenue. That's the kind of information we're going to provide.
  • Our emphases for SMBSS are on "selling more books" and "setting up incredible networking opportunities." All the speakers and sessions will be geared toward selling and connecting. All the activities will be set up to make fantastic partnerships, friendships, and more.

Where should I stay?

  • We'll have a few recommendations with bulk conference discounts in the coming weeks.
  • But, you can really stay anywhere you want! We'll be in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, which is bordered by Wrigleyville, Boystown, and Southport Corridor.

What's your refund and cancellation policy?

  • While we can't offer refunds for the event, you may transfer your tickets to someone else.

What's the food situation?

  • We will provide some snacks, water, and coffee, but we recommend bringing the food you like the most to the venue if you like to nosh like Bryan does
  • Chicago has delicious food and there are many great places for breakfast, lunch, dinner, second breakfast, elevensies, and other made-up meals. Bryan is happy to provide recommendations over at

What do you recommend for parking?

  • Park in a garage and plan to keep your car there all day if you're driving. Parking near the venue is not something we would recommend.
